Secret Royal Inspector of Moonlight: The Red Plum Cipher
Author: KOXLO 사극관
In late Joseon, Yi Gyeom spends his days disguised as a carefree country scholar in a threadbare robe, reciting poetry over bowls of turbid rice wine; by night, he grips a battle-scarred three-horse bronze medallion and cavalry saber as the King's Secret Royal Inspector. Tracking the 'Red Plum Cipher'—a stolen royal ledger taken from his assassinated predecessor—he joins forces with Yoon Seo-ha, a brilliant Damo investigator and cryptographer of the Left Podocheong. As corrupt Magistrate Jo Pil-won prepares a midnight smuggling operation at Namgang Ferry trading state silver for illicit matchlock muskets and treasonous war funds, a lone bamboo flute pierces the river fog to herald the Inspector's midnight raid.
