Dream of the Butterfly

Author: KOXLO AI Studio

A breathtaking modern urban fantasy reimagining Zhuangzi's classic 'Butterfly Dream' (胡蝶夢): In rain-washed midnight Seoul, 28-year-old architectural designer Seo Jin-woo lives a suffocating existence governed by AutoCAD dimensions, client demands, and corporate compromises. When an ethereal, glowing cyan butterfly flutters outside his 34th-floor window through torrential rain, reality begins to unravel. Time freezes across crosswalks, suspended raindrops turn to crystals, and a mysterious silver-pinned curator named Yoon Se-ah guides him into the antique labyrinth of 'Metamorphosis Gallery.' There, inside an antique bell jar, flutters the forgotten dream of his youth. As his apartment dissolves into fluid watercolors and a cosmic nebula opens above the stormy Han River, Jin-woo must sprint through tempestuous winds to awaken his own dormant wings. A poetic, transcendent, and profoundly moving tale about reclaiming the soul in a concrete metropolis.
